Cynthia Jane Miller, 79, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Thursday evening, July 18, 2013 in Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon, Ohio following an extended illness. She was born March 18, 1934 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Millard and Elizabeth (Moody) Downs. On December 15, 1954 she married Paul E. Miller who preceded her in death May 10, 2010.
Surviving are her children, Violet Kay (David) Jividen, McArthur, and Timothy Paul (Beth) Miller, Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Gary (Marci) Minnix, Marilyn (Richard) Young, Crystal Miller and Shawn (Genevieve) Miller; great grandchildren, Brendon Minnix, Cole Miller and Emmett Miller; a sister, Nancy Riley, Chillicothe; a brother, Tom Downs, Texas; and sisters-in-law, Loretta Alexander, Chillicothe and Jerri Lyne (Butch) Brown, Bainbridge. Her parents, 7 sisters and 2 brothers preceded her in death.
Mrs. Miller was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid doll collector, a big fan of Elvis and was a bingo fanatic when she was able.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor John Jividen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Chillicothe. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
