Crystal E. Parsons

Crystal Elaine Parsons, 71 of Chillicothe passed from this life on Sunday morning, Sept. 18, 2016 in the Adena Regional Medical Center.  She was born June 10, 1945 in Vinton County, the daughter of William A. and Dorthea A. (Smith) Ray.

Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Dorthea and Bernard Huffman, Chillicothe;  her daughter, Staci Parsons, Ocala, FL; her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Kara Parsons, Hartford City, IN; her grandchildren, Bryce, Thomas, Becca, Bailey and Allie; her companion of 17 years, Bobby Huff, Chillicothe; the children of her companion, Amy Rann, Chillicothe and her children, Macey and Magdaline and Cameron and wife, Rachel Huff, Londonderry and their children, Cameron J. Jr., Carlee and Sydney; her sisters, Cindy and her husband, Bob Bixler and Linda Recobs, all of Chillicothe; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and her former husband of 31 years, Tom Parsons.  She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, Julyna and Randall Smith, grandson, Freddie Mitchell, brothers, Tim and Steve Ray, nephew, Timmy Ray and step-sister, Carol Muniz.

Crystal was a graduate of Wyandotte High School, Wyandotte, MI and worked as an executive secretary for 31 years.  She enjoyed OSU football and was a member of VFW Post 108 and AMVETS Post 4.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 22, 2016 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with her son, Rev. Tommy Parsons officiating.  Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
