Connie L. O’Day Prickett, 72, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Monday evening, August 17, 2015, surrounded by her family in Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born September 24, 1942 in Ross County, the daughter of Charles and Elnora (Aldenderfer) O’Day. On May 3, 1959 she married Lloyd V. Prickett who preceded her in death May 5, 2012.
Surviving are her sons, Kevin V. and wife, Janet Prickett, Kingston and Brian C. and wife, Tonya Prickett, Chillicothe; grandchildren, Katrina and husband, Tommy Borland, Abigail Prickett and Amanda Prickett and fiancé, Tyler Stump; great-grandchildren, William, Addison and Logan Borland; sisters-in-law, Shirley Pence and Sharon Hedrick and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She attended Centralia High School and was a member of the class of 1960. Connie was a devoted wife and homemaker. Tuesday mornings for many years were spent bowling in the ladies league at Shawnee Lanes. She also enjoyed playing slot machines, but just the penny slots. The greatest joys in her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent countless hours supporting them in their sports and school events.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 21, 2015 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Richard Patmore officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday.
