Clifford Eugene Osborne

Clifford Eugene Osborne, 90, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Saturday morning, September 5, 2015 in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. He was born October 5, 1924 in Chillicothe, the son of the late Clifford Elgin and Betty (Sommers) Osborne. He was married October 3, 1952 to Helen Smith who preceded him in death February 9, 1990. On March 28, 1992 he married Cora Knab who preceded him in death February 25, 2005.
Surviving are a daughter, Crystal A. (Mark) Bernsdorf, Columbus; a son, Danny L. (Connie) Scott, Chillicothe; step-sons, Dana (Sharon) Knab and Daryl (Robin) Knab, all of Chillicothe; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Dale Knab and a sister, Flora Mae Wilhelm
Mr. Osborne was a 1943 graduate of Chillicothe High School and attended The Ohio State University. He was a WW II U.S. Army veteran serving at Adak Island, Alaska. As a draftsman for the Ohio Department of Transportation, he was a 40 year employee, retiring in 1989. He had a life long interest in model gliders and airplanes and the study of WW II.
Private graveside services will be held at the discretion of the family. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is honored to serve the family.
