Christopher M. Carpenter

Christopher M. Carpenter, 68, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness.  He was born November 24, 1953 in Chillicothe, the son of Harold and Joanne (Fennell) Carpenter.

Surviving is his daughter, Lindsay (Scott) Van Winkle, Lancaster; his grandchildren, Freya and Archer Van Winkle; and his sisters, Susie Fennell-Pini, MI, Cindy Ferrell and Mindy Brooks, both of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Beth Courtney.

Chris had been a supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 2003.  He loved the outdoors and spent many hours fishing with his family.  He was a talented artist with wodburning and enjoyed cooking.

A Memorial Gathering is being planned and will be announced.  Memorial donations may be made in Chris’s memory to Nationwide Childrens Hospital, 525 Mound St., Columbus, OH 43215 (nationwidechildrens.org)
