Christine W. (Wade) Ludwig

Mrs. Christine Wade Ludwig, 89, of Bermuda Run, NC, passed away Fri. Oct. 5, 2012, in Bermuda Village Retirement Center. She was born Jan. 24, 1923, in Franklin County, OH, to Carl and Lucille Duff Wade.
Surviving is her loving husband of 69 years, Bill; a daughter; Carole Smith and husband Frederick, Wilmington, DE, a son; William Carl Ludwig and wife Maueen, Pittsburg, PA; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Her parents and a brother Dean Wade preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ludwig graduated from the Ohio State University in 1943, where she was the President of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She received her Master of Education degree from Ohio University. Mrs. Ludwig taught business courses at Chillicothe High School and supervised the Business Dept. at Pickaway-Ross Vocational School.
In 1988, Mrs. Ludwig and her husband, William “Bill” Ludwig, moved to Hilton Head, SC, and in 1996 they moved to Bermuda Run, NC. She was a member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, OH, and Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem, NC.
Funeral services will be held 2:00p.m. Friday, Oct.12, 2012, in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Scott Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday.
