Charles William Meacham, Sr.

Charles William Meacham, Sr., 74, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007 in Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 17, 1933 in Jackson County, the son of Harry and Mildred (Henderson) Meacham. On Apr. 1, 1956 he married Nancy O. Ours who survives. Also surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Charles W. "Bill" and Selena Meacham, Londonderry, grandchildren, Crystal and Cody Meacham, step-grandchildren, Jimmy Writsel and Justin Cox, a brother, Harry Gene (Carol) Meacham, FL and nieces and nephews. His parents and a sister, Eileen preceded him in death. Mr. Meacham was an assistant manager for Ross Auto Parts, retiring in 1999. He was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. In keeping with Mr. Meacham's request for cremation, there will be no service or burial.
