Charles R. Mcguire

Charles R. McGuire, 72, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born March 16, 1943 in Chillicothe, the son of Charles M. and Myrtle (Cook) McGuire.
He is survived by his special friend and caregiver, Patricia Martindale and her sons, Bobby and Johnny Bobo, Chillicothe; sisters, Rosemary Bennett, Chillicothe, Marie Bennett, Hillsboro and Patricia (Roy) Stone, Chillicothe; a brother, James (Ruth) McGuire, Chillicothe; a host of nieces and nephews and his many friends in the racing community. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Virginia Louise McGuire, Dora Bryans and Donna Gardner.
Mr. McGuire was a retired employee of Litter Distributing. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam era and was a member of the American Legion Post 757, AMVETS 4, VFW Post 108 and the Loyal Order of the Moose. Charles was an avid fan of auto racing throughout his life.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Dan Bennett officiating. Military honors will be by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
