Charles Marcus May

Charles Marcus May, 41, of Piney Flatts, TN, went home to his Heavenly Father April 25, 2008 in Knoxville, TN after a brief illness. He was born February 6, 1967 in Chillicothe the son of Charles E. May and the late Carolyn L. Crago May. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in the Calvary Lutheran Church with Pastor Rick Hinger and Pastor Gene Foshee of South Haven, MS officiating. A meal at the church will follow. There will be no graveside services. Friends may call at the Fawcett Oliver Glass & Palmer Funeral Home from 5-8 PM Tuesday. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Johnson City, TN for Mark's friends and family in Tennessee. Mark graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1985, and attended Circleville Bible College and Ohio State University. Mark attended Calvary Lutheran Church until moving to Tennessee. Mark is survived by his beloved partner, Kevin Berry of Knoxville, TN, his father and stepmother Charles (Debbie) May, his beloved sister Marcia Holton, special nieces, Lauren, Katie, and Jenna Holton, and special nephew Ben Holton, and aunts Karen (Rick) Greene of Grove City, Connie (Dick) Senter and Cathy Daughtery, uncle Roger (Sue) Crago, all of Chillicothe. Also surviving is Wanda H Brewster of Brewstertown, TN who was like a second mother and caregiver to Mark along with many beloved cousins. Mark was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn May,cousin Shaun Jamison, Uncle Robert Crago, grandparents Rena and Charles M. May and Ina and Marcus Crago. Mark chose a career as a truck driver and enjoyed traveling from coast to coast seeing the beauty in God's country. He received the coveted Million Mile Award for accident free driving. Mark's physical presence will be sorely missed by family and friends.
