Cecil L. Rinehart

Cecil L. Rinehart, 86, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Saturday evening, June 16, 2012 in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.  He was born Feb. 17, 1926 in Chillicothe, the son of the late Luther James and Margaret Sarah (White) Rinehart.  On Apr. 19, 1953 he married Clara Jane Miller who preceded him in death on Mar. 28, 1995.

Surviving are daughters, Patricia (John) Russell, Chillicothe and Pamela (Don) Collum, Ft. Valley, GA; sons, Ricky (Janet) Rinehart, Cerulean, KY and Robert (Karen) Rinehart, Tarlton; grandchildren, Christy Hill, Veronica Smith, Cassandra Lane, Conner Rinehart and Margaret Rinehart; and great-grandchildren, Brittany, Amber and Johnathan Siroin and Wesley Smith.  He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brandy Jayne Rinehart and an infant brother, Harold Eugene Rinehart.

Mr. Rinehart was a retired tool and die maker for Circle Plastics, Circleville, OH.  He was a US Army veteran, serving in the 3 ^rd Engineer Combat Batallion of the Army of Occupation in Japan.  Cecil was a member of the First Church of God and was a charter member of  Union Township Fire and Rescue.  He was a member of American Legion Post 62 and had served as a search and rescue pilot with the Civil Air Patrol.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Matt Roe and Rev. Bob Rose officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with military honor by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday.  Memorial contributions may be made in Cecil’s memory to the First Church of God Building Fund.
