Carolyn Sue Lump, 78, of Chillicothe, unexpectedly passed from this life on Friday December 11, 2020, in the Adena Regional Medical Center.  She was born on June 5, 1942 in Chillicothe to the late Everett and Mary (Albright) Whaley.  On July 29, 1961 she married Larry Lump, who preceded her in death on May 25, 2012.

Surviving are sons; Larry James (Shannon) Lump II, and Michael (Carma) Lump, both of Chillicothe, grandchildren; Maria (Dan) Dudzinski, Amy (Nick) Barrows, Michael (Ally) Lump II, Larry James (Caity) Lump III, Amanda (Justin) Ashworth, Hanna (Ian) McCord, and Corey Lump (Katey Bell), great-grandchildren; Raegan Dudzinski, Rylee Dudzinski, Delanee Dudzinski, Dalton Dudzinski, Cami Barrows, Brix Barrows, Michael Lump III, Gavin Lump, Parker Lump, and Avery Lump, sisters-in-law; Kay Stewart, and Kathy (Tony) Smith, many nieces and nephews, and longtime family friend; Bob Shoutlz.  She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law; Gene (Joan) Whaley.

Carolyn was a member of the former West Side Church of the Nazarene. Her home was always open to friends and family, and was affectionately known as a grandma to many.  She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in St. Margaret Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Jason T. Link, officiating.  Public calling hours will not be observed.  Those attending the service are asked to observe social distancing and the wearing of masks.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association and the American Heart Association.
