Bryan Theobald, Jr.

Bryan “Sonny” Theobald, Jr., 90, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Thursday January, 4, 2024 at his residence.  He was born on April 12, 1933 in Chillicothe to the late Bryan “Red” and Mary (Hess) Theobald, Sr.  On July 5, 1966 he married Shirley Ann Bartlett who preceded him in death on November 14, 2016.

Surviving are daughters, Deborah (Rick) Hice, Chillicothe; Dianna (Mark) Riggenbach, Niceville, FL; sons, Randy (Kelly) Bost, Champaign, IL, and Todd (Julia) Theobald, Chillicothe; grandchildren, Linsey Hayes, Caitlin Riggenbach, Tony Allen Hice, Jamie Sherman, Bailey Hall, Lilly Bost, and Bryan Bost, 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his son Mike Bost, and several siblings.

Sonny was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He worked for the Mead Corporation for 35 years as a Foreman, and worked in security.  Following his retirement, he went on to work in maintenance for the Unioto School System.  Sonny loved woodworking and remodeling houses.  He was hardworking and thrived on helping people, and was known as an all-around handy man.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 11, 2024 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jeremy Beverly, officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Margaret’s Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ross County Humane Society.
