Blanche Recob Collmar

Blanche M. Recob Collmar, 94, of Chillicothe , passed from this life on Sunday, Mar. 11, 2012 in Pike Community Hospital, Waverly, Ohio. She was born Feb. 1, 1918 in Londonderry , Ohio , the daughter of Elzie and Agnes (Smith) McWhorter. Her husband of 43 years, Leonard Recob preceded her in death on July 19, 1978 . She later married Ray R. Collmar who preceded her in death Sept. 29, 1988 .

Surviving are daughters, Marjorie Johnson and Helen (Eric) Andersen-Vie; a son, Ralph Recob, all of Chillicothe and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers preceded her in death.

Mrs. Collmar was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church and was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, Mar. 15, 2012 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mitch Salyers officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery . The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday.
