Billy A. Bennett

Billy A. Bennett, 74, of Chillicothe went to his eternal home on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 in Kobacher House, Columbus, OH.  He was born Sept. 6, 1941 in Stockton, GA, the son of Willie E. and Mary M. (Lightsey) Bennett.  On Oct. 1, 1983 he married Clara M. Carver who survives.

Also surviving is his daughter, Brandy (Elvis) Estep, Chillicothe;  his son, Billy A. (Tammy) Bennett, Jr., Willicoochee, GA;  his grandchildren, Jessica, Arica, Wesley, Arianna, Nevaeh, Bailee, Amber, Amanda, Jenna, McKinley and Jimmy; 5 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Norma Carver Penisten, Chillicothe; sisters, Rosalee (Billy) McCullars and Lenie Morgan, both of GA.; brothers, Jimmy (Cathy) Bennett and Eddie (Shelia) Bennett, both of GA. and Johnny (Lanell) Bennett, LA; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, LaRon, a sister, Pearl and 3 brothers, Leon and Lawton who were twins and Bobby.

Mr. Bennett was a retired construction worker and carpenter.  He was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors.  Billy gave the gift of life as an organ and tissue donor.

Following cremation, private services will be held at the discretion of the family.  Calling hours will not be observed.  The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PLAMER FUNERAL HOME is honored to serve the family.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
