Betty Ruth Magill

Betty Ruth Magill, 79, of Lancaster, formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life Saturday evening, May 10, 2008 in The Pickering House, Lancaster following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 14, 1928 in Vinton County, the daughter of Wade H. and Lena (Sims) Payne. On Feb. 28, 1948 she married Kenneth E. Magill who survives. Also surviving are sons, Stephen E. (Elizabeth "Betsy") Magill. Lancaster, David Lee (Tara) Magill, Phoenix, AZ and Randall Wade Magill, Raleigh, NC, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Her parents and a sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Magill was a retired employee of the Mead Employees Credit Union and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Lancaster. Private funeral services will be held at the discretion of the family, with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Calling hours will not be observed.
