Bertha M. Murch

Bertha M. Murch, 71, formerly of Bainbridge passed from this life on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 at the residence of her daughter in Leesburg following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 21, 1940 in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Milburn and Mary (Watkins) Worthen. On Sept. 10, 1979 she married Russell E. Murch who preceded her in death Sept. 16, 1991. Surviving are daughters, Melisa (David) Fisher, Muncie, IN, Susan (Bill) Cryer, Sylacauga, AL, Sheri (John) Peterson and Cindy (Mark) Prince, both of Frankfort, Dawn (Greg) Trent, Bainbridge and Julie (Wendell) Hamilton, Leesburg; a son, Joe Frazier, Grove City; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Woods and Lyda Satterfield, both of Chillicothe and Sandy (Paul) Rhodes, Waverly; and brothers, Robert (Ruth Ann) Worthen, Oklahoma City, OK and Tom Worthen, Gallipolis. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and a grandchild. Mrs. Murch was an employee of Adena Health System, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Sunnyside Chapel in Bainbridge. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Greg Trent officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery, Richmond Dale. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday.
