Bernard Martin Huffman

Bernard Martin Huffman, 92, of Chillicothe, formerly of Waverly, died 3:39 am, Tuesday Oct. 17, 2017 in the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 22, 1924, in Fayette County, West Virginia, the son of Ida Valentine Huffman and Henry Huffman. May 5, 1957 he married Dorthea A. Smith Ray Huffman who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters Linda C. Recobs and Cindy C. (Bob) Bixler, both of Chillicothe, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.  His parents, daughters, Carol Muntz and Crystal Parsons, two sons Tim Ray and Rev. Steven Ray, 1 grandson Timmy Ray Jr., a great grandson, a sister Mary West, and one brother Delmer Huffman preceded him in death.
Mr. Huffman was a retired electrician/ motor re-winder at Duffy Electric, and his own business of Huffman Electric in Jasper, Ohio. He was a member of Scioto Lodge # 6, F&AM,  Aladdin Shrine Temple, and was a WWII Veteran, serving in both the US Navy and US Army.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday October 20, 2017 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev Jeffery Rhoads officiating.  Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 11 am until the hour of service Friday.  A Masonic service will be conducted at 12 noon by the Scioto Lodge # 6.
