Bernadine G. Owens

Bernadine G. Owens, of Chillicothe, passed from this life 6:00 p.m. Friday evening, November 28, 2008 in Westmoreland Nursing Home, following an extended illness. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday December 3, 2008 in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Lawrence Hummer Celebrant. Burial will follow as St. Margaret's Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Fawcett Oliver Glass & Palmer Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 2, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., where a wake service will be held at 8:00 p.m. She was born November 26, 1938, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of the late John & Gertrude (Dreiling) McDonald. On November 28, 1958, she married William M."Bill" Owens, who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters Lisa Fisher, Chillicothe, Denise (Larry) Entingh, Galloway, OH a son Christopher Owens, Columbus, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister Jeanette Anders, Chillicothe, Brother Charles McDonald, Columbus, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, one son Michael Owens and brother John McDonald, Jr., preceded her in death. Mrs. Owens worked at Wearever for 24 years and as a home health care provider for 6 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Red Hat Women's Club and the Lazarus Committee. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
