Barbara Ann Mccormick

Barbara Ann McCormick, 73, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born Oct. 3, 1934 in Ross County, the daughter of Lawrence O. and Mabel M. (Lancaster) Bobo. On Sept. 19, 1970 she married Robert L. McCormick who survives. Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Alice Murphy, Chillicothe, daughters, Jacqueline (Roger) Van Gundy, Bainbridge, Vickie Lynn Bushatz, Teresa J. Downs and Kathleen M. (Jody) Gragg, all of Chillicothe, a son Rickey L. Hamilton, Chillicothe, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sisters, Karen Sue McCray and Donna V. Bobo, both of Chillicothe, brothers, Lawrence O. "Bud" (Naomi) Bobo, Baltimore, Ronald F. Bobo, Chillicothe and Terry Michael (Pam) Bobo, Stoutsville, a sister-in-law, Sharon Barch-Bobo, Waverly and a brother-in-law, Charles "Jim" (Mary) McCormick, Lexington, KY, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and special friends, Bob and Jo Dearth, Circleville. Her parents, a son, Charles Edward Hamilton, sisters, Sharon J. Iseton and Sandra K. Bobo and brothers, Gary Keith Bobo, Larry Allen Bobo and Arthur Lee Bobo and father-in-law, Robert Murphy preceded her in death. Mrs. McCormick was a nursing assistant at Adena Regional Medical Center, retiring after 25 year of service. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
