Barbara E. Hamblin

Barbara Ellen Hamblin, 69, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Sunday morning, July 1, 2012 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.  She was born Sept. 9, 1942 in Ross County, the daughter of Harry and Pauline (Penwell) Raypole.  On June 18, 1960 she married Wayne A. Hamblin who preceded her in death Feb. 4, 1986.

Surviving are her daughters, Jamie and husband, Scott Stephenson, Chillicothe and Heidi Hamblin and companion, Jimmy Sparks, Ray; grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Timothy, Job and Mariah; great-grandchildren, Kendal, Raeley, Madison and Neverha; a sister, Roberta and husband, Clarence Richards, Chillicothe and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Wanda Elder and a brother, Harry Raypole, Jr.

Mrs. Hamblin had served as a bus driver and custodian for the Southeastern School System with 25 years of service.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jared McKinney officiating.  Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday.
