Anna Louise Smith

Anna Louise Smith died on Friday January 12, 2024 from Cardiac Arrest.  Louise was born April 24, 1937 at home to Leonard and Maude (Stallard) Beverly, in the Hurricane section of Wise County, VA.  She married Lawrence O. “Bud” Thompson, who died May 18, 1979.  Their son Michael Wayne died July 1999.  Mike’s daughter Jenny Thompson Smith died October 12, 2015.  Louise’s brother Leonard Harley Beverly died in 1998.

Surviving is Jerald (Jerry) Smith who she married on September 26, 1986, granddaughter Tracy Kern, grandsons, Jason and Logan Thompson, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 step children, Jeff, Donnie, Gary, and Cheryl Lowe, 8 step grandchildren, and 12 step great-grandchildren.

Louise worked in clothing and valuables for the V.A. Medical Center for many years.

A private graveside service has been held for the family.
