Anna E. Dearth

Anna E. Dearth, 81, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Thursday morning, July 17, 2008 in Valley View Care Center, Frankfort, following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 27, 1926 in Ross County, the daughter of John and Wyomia (Southward) Strawser. She was married to Robert W. Dearth, who preceded her in death in 1991. Surviving is a daughter, Martha Jane (Brian) McGarvy, sons, John D. (Barbara) Dearth, Robert L. (Tina) Dearth, James S. (Madonna) Dearth, Clarence E. "Bud" Dearth, all of Chillicothe and Gary L. (Mary) Dearth, Laurelville, step-children, Linda Cocker and Rick Demint, 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, sisters, Mary Ellen Jones and Odessa May Hatfield and a brother, James N. Strawser, all of Chillicothe. Her parents, a daughter, Judith Runyon, a grandchild, a great grandchild, a sister and 3 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Dearth was a homemaker and a member of the High Street Church of Christ in Christian Union. She was a loving mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, July 21, 2008 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Willard McCray officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Monday.
