Ann Elizabeth Oliver, 66 of Cincinnati, Ohio, departed this life on March 3, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Ann was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, to June E. and David M. Oliver. She graduated from Chillicothe High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Cincinnati, a diploma from Christ Hospital School of Nursing, a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesiology from the University of Cincinnati. She was a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) at Good Samaritan Hospital and most recently at Beacon Orthopedic Surgery Center.
Ann is survived by her loving husband, Michael J. Acheson; stepson, Kyle Acheson; sisters Susan (Jim) Hency, Sarah (Jerre) Kirk and Amy Walters; nephews Jason Hency, Matthew Hency and Ian Walters; nieces Katherine Bell and Elizabeth Kirk; one grandniece and 3 grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, David Walters.
Ann was a lifelong learner. She loved the arts! She was a music host at WVXU and WNKU for 10 years, and a television news writer for 5 years at WKRC, channel 12. Together, she and Mike were world travelers who visited 25+ countries and delighted in the beauty of the natural world, while enjoying new cuisines, cultural sites and exotic locales. She was a strong supporter of the Junction Earthworks Preserve in Chillicothe which preserves and highlights the remains of the Hopewell-era earthworks. There was a special place in her heart for all the birds in the world. Remember Ann when you hear the birds sing.
A Memorial Service will be held at Grailville, 931 O’Bannonville Rd., Loveland, Ohio 45140 on April 5, 2025 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the service.
