Alice Lorraine (Rafferty) LeMaster, 74, of Chillicothe, passed peacefully from this earth on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 in Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 5, 1937 in London, Ohio, the daughter of James and Eva (Harrington) Rafferty. On Dec. 19, 1987 she married Frank LeMaster, Jr. who preceded her in death Apr. 24, 1997. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Terri Arredondo; a grandson, Seve Arredondo; a long time friend and companion, Bob Gibson, all of Chillicothe and a special niece, Tasha and husband, John Johnson, London. Also surviving are brothers, Wayne and wife, Paula Rafferty, London, Paul and wife, Debbie Rafferty, Sidney, Tony and wife, Gloria Rafferty and Bruce and wife, Lisa Rafferty, all of London and many nieces and nephews. Her parents, 2 sisters and a brother preceded her in death. Prior to her husband's death, Alice and Frank owned and operated the Blackhawk Tavern and the Sherman House. She enjoyed crocheting, rainy days and traveling around to visit her family and friends. She learned early in her life to love enough to let go. Her family would like to thank the staff of Heartland of Chillicothe and the Hospice of Adena for their loving care and attention through her final days. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 in Londonderry Cemetery with Rev. Clint Sheets officiating. The family will receive friends at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday.
