Alfred "Britt" Hay

Alfred "Britt" Hay, 74, of Chillicothe, went to be with our Lord on Friday afternoon, Mar. 7, 2008 at his home following an extended illness. He was born Nov. 27, 1933 at home in Ray, OH, the son of the late Herbert and Hattie (Maxie) Hay. On Mar. 20, 1951 he married Margaret Weaver of Londonderry, OH, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Sandra Roberts, Frankfort, a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Robert Newland, Frankfort, sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Karen Hay, Chillicothe and Steve and Diane Hay, Wellston, grandchildren, Jamie, Regina, Jason, Tommy, Shannon, David, Kristi and Kevin, great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Megan, Jay, Anna, Regan and Phillip and brothers, Hubert (Gertrude) Hay, Ray, Donald Hay, Richmond Dale and Ronnie Hay, Ray. A brother, Harold Hay preceded him in death. Britt was retired from Mead Paper with over 44 years of service. He was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church of Straight Creek and served as a Deacon in the church for many years. Britt was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2008 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Pastor Henry Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday.
