Albert R. “Roy” Haubeil, 78, of Chillicothe, passed from this life to be with Jesus on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. He was born March 10, 1935 in Chillicothe, the son of Albert and Dorothy (Bias) Haubeil. On February 17, 1989 he married the former Jewell Elliott, who survives.
Also surviving are his four children, Amy (Richie) Adams, Lisa (Jeff) Boise, Shane (Marcie) Haubeil and Christian Haubeil; three step-children, Roger (Ellen) Kelly, Lisa Slaven and Joanna (Rodney) Parker; a brother, Rick (Janie) Haubeil; a sister-in-law, Rose Haubeil, all of Chillicothe; a sister, Nancy (Chuck) Burton, Paris, TX; three Elliott brothers-in-law; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his pet and best buddy, Jake. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don Haubeil.
Albert was a retired carpenter and was a US Army veteran. He was a faithful member if the New Covenant Apostolic Church. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved to sing and play his guitar, and was a song writer and inventor. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
Albert’s wishes were that his body be donated to the Ohio State University for research, something that he was very proud of. There will be no calling hours or funeral services.
