Albert E. Cottrell

Albert E. Cottrell, 72, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Friday, August 9, 2013 in Riverside Hospital, Columbus following an extended illness.  He was born October 20, 1940 in Chillicothe, the son of Albert and Mary (Crowe) Cottrell.

Surviving is his former wife, Stella Cantrell, Nederland, TX; a daughter, Teresa (Tim) Seymour, Circleville; sons, Richard L. Duncan, Londonderry, Albert T. (Tanya) Cottrell, Chillicothe and Alonzo E. Cottrell, Nederland, TX; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and a sister, Saundra (Everett) Litteral, Waverly.  His parents, a sister and a brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Cottrell was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam era and was a member of AMVETS.  He attended the First Church of God in Circleville and was a retired employee of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastors David Stulley and Larry Leasure officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with military rites by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday.
