Howard E. Holloway, 82, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Monday October 6, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 6, 1943 in Pikeville, KY, the son of Frank and Oma (Thacker) Holloway.
Surviving are daughters, Joanne Mettler, and Connie Gillum, both of Chillicothe; a daughter-in-law, Crystal Holloway, Chillicothe; grandchildren, Terry Jason McWhorter, Samantha (Ben) Roberts, Luke G. Mettler, Joshua (Kim) Kellough, Christa Kellough, Amy Kendall, Christina Porter, Ashley Kellough, Jeremiah Holloway, Danielle Byers, and Dalton Slutz, and several great-grandchildren, his beloved dog, Tori, sisters, Joyce Justice, Pikeville, KY, and Delia Crase, West Liberty, brothers, Paul (Kathy) Holloway, Chillicothe, and Roger D. Holloway, Pikeville, KY, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary E. Holloway, his children, Tammy Holloway, Ginger Robin Kellough, and Howard E. Holloway, Jr., a granddaughter, Megan Kellough, a sister, Sarah Doris Robinson Jarrell, brothers, Joe Holloway, Johnny Holloway, Randall Holloway, Jr. Holloway, and Harmon H.D. Holloway.
Howard had worked at Crispie Crème, then went on to work at Chilpaco as a machine operator. He loved dogs, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 9, 2025 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Bruce Hines, officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday.
