Paul Eugene “Crow” Curtis, 76, of Delaware, formally of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2018. He was born on Jan. 27, 1942 in Ross County, the son of Ellott “Hammie” and Helen (Williams) Curtis.
Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Mary (Moss) Curtis, son; William (Naydene) Leist, daughters; Rebecca Smith, Lisa (Robert) Cockrell, with whom he lived, and Angela (Randall) Workman, 11 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren whom he loved and enjoyed dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Harold and Donald Curtis, sister; Marcella Merriman, son; Rodney Leist, and grandsons; Cody and Austin.
Paul graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1960. He worked for the Chillicothe Paper Company until 1995, and retired from Bay West Paper Company in Middletown, Ohio. He was a proud and decorated Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Paul was awarded the Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, Air Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was a member and co-founder of Trinity Fellowship Worship Center, Lake Wales, FL. The family wishes to thank the Ohio Health System in Delaware for their care during Paul’s illness.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday Aug. 4, 2018 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Cottrill officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miami VA Healthcare System, Fisher House (122), 1201 NW 16th St., Miami, FL 33125.
