Nancy L. (Sheets) Coonrod, 61 of Chillicothe passed from this life on Tuesday evening, October 17, 2017 in the OSU Medical Center, Columbus following a brief illness.  She was born February 1, 1956 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Arvilla “Jake” and Loretta (Castle) Sheets.  On August 12, 1988 she married the love of her life, Steven P. Coonrod who survives.

Also surviving are her mother, Loretta Sheets, Latham; daughters, Sara (Kenny) Smith, Jodi Seymour and Jamie Coonrod; son, Matt Lambert; grandchildren, Gavin Sheets, Desiree Copeland, Bailey Seymour, Ashley Seymour, Payton LeMaster, Landon Coonrod and Sydnie (Collin King) Smith; great-grandchild, Carson King; sisters, Myra (Dan) Ramey, Sheila (Tom) Bane and Shelby (Michael) Schiller; brothers, Steve (Tammy) Sheets; sisters-in-law, Terri Cardinal, Pamm (Mike) Bayes and Lisa Hamler and longtime friends, Amy Straubaugh and Deb Fournier.  She was preceded in death by her father, brother, James Bradley and sister, Debra (Sheets) Haskins.

Nancy was retired from the Union Scioto Schools where she was a bus driver and a cafeteria employee.  She will also be remembered as a child care provider, as which she loved and cared for many children.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, October 23, 2017 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. J.C. Collins officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 am until the hour of service on Monday.
