Marilyn J. (Hatfield) NetterNovember 30, 1947 ~ October 22, 2017 (age 69)
Marilyn Jane Netter, 69, of Chillicothe went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 22, 2017 in Signature Health Care following an extended illness. She was born November 30, 1947 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Coleman and Vernie (Locklear) Hatfield, Sr. On August 10, 1966 she married Scott Lamont Netter, Sr. who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Myra L. Netter, Chillicothe; sons, Scott L. (Barbie) Netter, Jr., Chillicothe and Kevin L. (Michele) Netter, Pickerington; grandchildren, Cynthia, Sarah, Seth, Elysia, Elayna, Shawn, Joshua, Bobby, Marquis and Allyson; great-grandchildren, Araina and Brantley; sisters, Rosemary Wimbley, Anna Powell and Betty Jean (Wendell) Cousins, all of Chillicothe; sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Beverly, Darris (Curtis) Lewis, all of Chillicothe and Tana (Scott) Brady, Circleville; a brother, Glenn (Angel) Hatfield, IN; a brother-in-law, Martin L. Netter, Chillicothe and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her parents, a sister, Opal Austin and brothers, Coleman Jr., Fredrick, George and Joseph Hatfield preceded her in death.
Mrs. Netter was a member of the Glorious Church of God in Christ in Columbus and was an evangelist for her church. She was a retired employee of the Veterans Administration Medical Center and was a school crossing guard for many years.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 30, 2017 in the Glorious Church of God in Christ, 123 W. Main St., Chillicothe with Dr. Bernita Wright and Bishop Melvin Maughmer, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Monday.
