Martha Alice Carolyn “M. Carolyn” Park, 83 of Chillicothe passed from this life on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born November 8, 1933 in Pike County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Henry and Martha (Glassburn) Sherrick.  On June 7, 1953 she married Paul David Park who preceded her in death August 17, 2011.

Surviving is her daughter, Sondra (W. Joseph) Coleman, Chillicothe; her sons, David L. (Jandyll N.) Park, Chillicothe and Douglas A. (Carolyn) Park, Frankfort; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; her sister, Roxie Ford, Columbus; her brother, Russell (Mae) Sherrick, Pike County; a host of nieces, nephews and friends and her canine companion, Daisy.  Her parents, a sister, Anna Mae Wheeler, brother, Victor Sherrick and 2 infants brothers and a special niece and nephew, Sherry Vinson and Jeff Park preceded her in death.

Mrs. Park had been a home health aide for MRDD.  She was a member of the Nazarene Church.  A devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed life to the fullest and will be remembered for her charismatic personality.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, July 24, 2017 in the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Robert A. Collins officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Monday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, 781 Madison Ave., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
