Geneva P. Turpen, 101 of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Chillicothe passed from this life on Thursday, March 2, 2017 in Tampa.  She was born, June 15, 1915, the daughter of Grover and Mabel (Ferrell) Partain.  On January 6, 1948 she married Gail P. Turpen who preceded her in death in 1984.

Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth "Bette" (Mel) Williams, Tampa, Florida and Mary Alice Turpen, Micanopy, Florida; son, James Edward (Sheryl) Turpen, Powder Springs, Georgia; step-son, Gail Roger Turpen, Thailand; grandchildren, Matt (Joan) Williams, Katie (John Lepore) Williams and Kim Turpen;  step-grandchildren, Tracy, Natalie and Bill and a great-grandson, Ethan Williams.

Mrs. Turpen was a Registered Nurse, formerly with the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe and had attended Walnut Street United Methodist Church.  She had been a volunteer with the American Red Cross in Florida for several years.

Following services in Florida, private interment will be in Grandview Cemetery at the discretion of the family.  The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is honored to be serving the family.
