What a pleasure it was to know Gene; he was part of my life growing up on S. Hickory St., and was a friend of our family and entire neighborhood. Gene was without any doubt, one of the smartest people I have ever known in my life. He was always good to employee us kids during our summer breaks and let me tell you something...those times were always full of adventure and learning; it was times that I will never forget as long as I live. Gene was a true gentlemen, a true patriot, a true family man, and just flat out an all American person. We have lost one of the best; God blessed this man with many living years and rightfully deserved. Godspeed to you Eugene, and thanks for your dedication and service to this country and thanks for the great memories and lessons you shared with many of us.

I knew Gene (Ramrod ) from our days of CBing back in the 1970's. Always a pleasure to be around. One time he took Ina & myself for a plane ride, taking off from Sky Park on a snow covered runway. Have never forgotten that. .
