Helen Ashworth Watkins, 81 of Chillicothe went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.  She was born February 29, 1936 in Lyndon, OH, the daughter of Gilbert Buren and Loma Louise (Denner) Ashworth.

Surviving are her daughters, Amy (Richard) Adams and Lisa Ann (Jeff) Boyce, Chillicothe and Rona (Ed) Good, Frankfort; her son, Michael Golob, Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Brandon Brown, Jeremy Brown, Ileah Hayes, Crystal Marie Benson and Jonathan Benson; 7 great-grandchildren; her sister, Kathy R. (Jim) Cartee, Londonderry and her brothers, Delbert (Phyllis) Ashworth, Joseph (Christy) Ashworth, Keith Ashworth, Jeffery (Diana) Ashworth, all of Chillicothe, Larry (Brenda) Ashworth, Circleville and Gary (Brenda) Ashworth, Londonderry.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Matthew R. Haubeil, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Mrs. Watkins was a long-time volunteer for the Seventh Day Adventist Church and also assisted in caring for others for many years.  She enjoyed cooking and baking.  Helen will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jason Everidge officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  In keeping with Helen’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.
