Gordon E. “Gino” Seymour, 74, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 at his residence.  He was born July 25, 1943 in Chillicothe, the son of Gordon A. and Naomi R. (Fowler) Seymour.  On Aug. 11, 1962 he married Linda G. Masters who survives.

Surviving are his daughters, Jeanie (Ronnie) Benson and Nikki (Kevin) Ross, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Melinda, Marcus, Sierra, Adrian, Ashton and Jaxon; great-grandchildren, Mallorie, Liam, Makenzie, Macie and Lyndan; a sister, Jeri (Jim) Burt, Trenton, OH and a host of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Melonie Seymour, sisters, Garnet Seymour and Charlotte Lurty and brothers, Art and Donnie Seymour.

Gene was a retired firefighter and EMT with the Chillicothe Fire Department with 25 years of service and   had served as a Lieutenant and acting Captain.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserve and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon for several years.

The family asks that you remember Gene as he was, prior to his decline over the past 3 years.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Tracy Chaffin officiating.  Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery with honors by the Chillicothe Fire Department.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday.
