Evelyn O. Lett, 91, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Signature Health Care of Chillicothe following an extended illness.  She was born April 8, 1926 in Ross County, the daughter of the late Jacob and Irene (Lowery) Powell.  On September 14, 1948 she married Ray M. Lett who preceded her in death on September 18, 2008.

Surviving is her son, Richard A. (Rosa Maria) Lett, Chillicothe; grandchildren, Tina Washington, Monique Cox, Victoria Lett, Niolani Ortiz, Venus Borges and Alan Goff and several great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, William Spillars, sisters, Eleanor Powell and Virginia Harris and brothers, Floyd Powell and Jacob Powell II.

Mrs. Lett was a member of Zion Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 26, 2017 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor J. Troy Gray officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday.
